First-time Use Documentation
Hello!
Welcome to the ADDAX Adventure Family.
There are so many great memories waiting for you!
But first there are a couple of things that need to be completed before you get out on the trail.
Remember to always have at least one front trailer foot on the ground when getting ready to load the trailer.
First time checklist:
- Take the tongue out of the trailer and install it in the front of the trailer. Connect the 7-way plug to the trailer.
- There is a bolt with a ring nut and a hitch pin. Install them into the tongue under the trailer. You can use the hitch pin to tighten the ring nut. These are removable if needed.
- Install the trailer side of your CU offroad hitch (the stinger) into the end of the tongue and pin with a red handle pin.
- Install the saddle onto your vehicle stinger. Ensure the height is correct by measuring from the ground to the top of the vehicle receiver opening and the height of the trailer from the ground to the bottom of the tongue. Then take the measurement and figure out the difference: + or - is the drop or rise you will need.
- Walk around the trailer and verify you have 7 pins: 3 pins from the truck to the trailer; 4 pins holding the jack feet up.
- Turn on the power switch and verify the fridge turns on.
Please remember to review the owner's manual.

Due to the fact that every tow vehicle has a different heigh, owners must provide their own Stinger compatible with the C U Offroad hitch provided with their trailer to match their vehicles needs. The following guide will help with installation.
From C U Offroad, published 9/2020:
To set up your Max Coupler, choose a ball mount like our MC212, with a 1” mounting hole. A mount
that allows the proper alignment between your tow vehicle and trailer combination. If you have
already done this with a standard ball, then this part is done since our coupler was designed to
directly replace it.
The tow vehicle side, or Yoke Assembly, has been pre-assembled to ease final installation. Remove
the hex nut, flat and lock washer on the bottom and drop it onto the ball mount. Replace them and
tighten the hex nut until the lock washer is compressed. This will require a 1-1/2” wrench or socket
and a 3⁄4” hex drive socket. We have 3⁄4” slugs that fit into a standard 3⁄4” socket available.
You will need to fill the coupler body with automotive grease before using. Find something to set
the trailer side assembly onto to support the grease seal inside the rear end. Pump about 8-10 pumps
of grease into the body, or until it is just oozing out uncontrollably. If you encounter water crossings
or inclement weather on your adventure, we recommend removing the coupler body from the trailer,
remove the grease seal from the open end, and stand the coupler on its end to allow any water to
drain out. Replace grease as needed.
When towing a trailer, use caution when backing up! Be aware of jack-knifing the trailer and the
damage it can cause. When you are finished off road, do a safety check of your vehicle and trailer
before you hit the highway. Better safe than sorry! Always obey the posted speed limits.
The Max Coupler is covered for 2 years from the date of purchase for all defects.
Thank you for your purchase! Thank you for keeping America working!

Water pump priming procedure.
In the event the water pump won’t prime (been sitting a while)
- Turn on the water pump using the switch on the front of the trailer. Open the spigot. (if the battery is low keep on charge source while performing)
- With a garden hose fill tank.
- Once the tank is full don’t stop filling… instead keep the hose running and with light force push it into the fill neck, with your other hand place one finger over the vent hole. (which now will be spitting out water)
- This procedure will force water through the pump which will then prime it.
- You're good to go!
Its strongly advised to not let your battery reach zero charge. This will lower the lifespan of the battery. In the case that it does fully die, follow these steps to reset the charger. Make sure you are plugged into a power source.
- Notice that the power light is lit on the NOCO battery charger.
- Push and hold the mode button (seems like an eternity) until the battery type lights light up.
- Push and release the mode button until the blue light (Lion) lamp is lit.
- Notice that the blue light is blinking slowly and the battery has started to charge.
- Push and release the mode button again until the blue light is solid.
